Happy Friday!

It's been a pretty good week!
I am just not going to think about all the headaches!
My students have been amazing this week.
I am not sure if it's me feeling better and not sick,
or if the three day weekend helped.
My students are mastering the objectives with flying colors
and no one left the school with the color red!
Red= phone call home because of misbehavior.
This is great news for me!
I am not a fan of having to call parents and tell them their child had a bad day.
I rather call for great news!
Today is officially the midpoint of third quarter.
This school year is going by super fast!
I love that summer is around the corner but I hate that my students are will be off to 2nd grade next year.
This week I also had a debrief with my principal about my impact observation and it went awesome! I got very good scores!
Impact is a rubric that is used to score teachers in DC.
very good scores = bonus
I would love a bonus but not sure if that is possible year.
Impact can be very stressful!
Today we also had pretty good news about our school (Stanton) in the Washington Post.
Check it out here !
Now it's time to enjoy the weekend with my husband!
Happy Friday!

  1. sounds like an eventful week!! I bet as a first grade teacher you get to witness kids really growing....in so many ways.
They leave a whole bigger and smarter and more confident than they were in Sept. and spring is coming so there will be outside recess!!!!
